Who We Are:

Project Guru Press, a division of PMOtraining.com, is a boutique publishing company and a sister division of Project Guru Academy.

At Project Guru Press, our mission is simple: To publish content that helps people succeed in Projectland

Who are these "project people" we speak of?  Glad you asked! These are our people. Project People. They are project leaders, sponsors, stakeholders, and anyone involved in managing or participating in projects. We especially cater to those new to the world of projects, who may not realize that Projectland is a different world from business-as-usual, with different roles and rules.

Put simply, if you're working on a project or have been given a project to lead, congratulations! You're a project person!

Our books are written by project people for project people.

To this end, our commitment is to produce content that meets our cornerstone standards of being:

1. Accessible

2. Practical

3. Fun

4. Innovative

PS: And did we say we love newbies?

We welcome you to explore our titles. We have many on the way, so check back often.

OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

JERRY MANAS

President, Project Guru Press

Jerry is passionate about publishing and promoting content to help project leaders and stakeholders of all levels of experience succeed in Projectland.

He is an internationally best-selling author whose work is frequently cited by top voices in the world of business. Legendary management guru Tom Peters (“In Search of Excellence”) often references Jerry’s bestselling book Napoleon on Project Management for its insights on simplicity and character. Pat Williams, Senior VP of the Orlando Magic, called Jerry’s book Managing the Gray Areas “a new path for leaders.” Noted author Judith E. Glaser touted Jerry’s book The Resource Management and Capacity Planning Handbook as “the first book dedicated to what is essentially the drivetrain of organizations—the effective use of its people toward its most important activities.”

Jerry led the editing team for the first edition of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Standards for Program and Portfolio Management and currently serves on the Advisory Council for the University of Richmond's Customer Experience program. Additionally, he served as a US Registered Expert with ANSI/ISO on the topics of Workforce Allocation, Employee Engagement, and Knowledge Management, representing the US in the international work groups creating the upcoming ISO Standards for those areas.

When he's not in Projectland, you can find him enjoying his family and writing techno-thriller fiction in Philadelphia.
